Grump,

Wow, that's COLD, man....

I'm planning to log the parameter changes of my "HyperScrap" paperweight when I get a chance, just out of curiosity. It probably won't do anyone a lot of good, since it's a '86 LB9 Thermomaster PROM.

On a somewhat related note, has anyone with PP-2s noticed any unexpected heat from their unit when under AC adapter power? Looks like I'm calling InTronics again...

Just a little humor!

Just checked my PP2, it's been on all morning, and is cool to the touch. When my PP failed the voltage regulator was hot to the touch.

I'd tinkered with some of the GN's chips this am, trying to get the roll down right,
I think I finally got it right.

Grump, et al,

I just got an email back from TransTronics:

"Send it back in - There were a few units with faulty Vpp inverter transistors that seem to fail on powerup.

Your RMA number is W0******

Put a copy of this in with the unit - include the powerpack.

Put your name as it appears on your original invoice in the box along with a
phone number.

Sorry you are having problems we will get things working for you ASAP.
"

"Stuff" happens. At least they seem to be very eager to take care of the problem. I just though anyone who may have such an experience with the newer PP-2s should know that it isn't anything they have done wrong, and help is there.

Vader, if you are impressed with Xtronics replacing your unit without any "song and dance", read this post....

A friend of mine was the one that got me into this hypertech chips. He was telling me that when he installed it on his Camaro it was an instant horsepower. But according to you guys I get an impression that it sucks..

I'm glad I did not buy it yet....

Thanks guys.....

ROFLMAO
Off the shelf eproms are a rip. I'd pay no more than $5.00 for one and when I got it I'd download the bin file. Open it up in TunerCat. Compare it to a stock eprom. Then laugh my *** off seeing how the previous owner of my car spent $$$ for nothing!

Gee, I wonder why he is selling it? Better yet, I wonder why he's telling you it made "instant power"?

I've always chuckle when I think which part of the human body is making the decision on performance derived solely by the "seat of the pants".

Wow. A company that still practices "customer service" rather than just SAYING they do. Cool. I'm beginning to think I should be looking at some of their other hardware for work.
