Psycho car.... HELP ME?????

ok, my car is blowing the ACC fuse.... it blows it:

1. When the drivers side door is open when I put the fuse in it works, then when I close the drivers side door it imediately blows

2. If the passenger side door is open it blows it as soon as I put it in there.

3. It used to blow it when I would try to run my cell phone off of the cigarette lighter... (havn't gotten that far lately)

Is there like a common problem that causes this???
anyone recognize these symptoms???

sounds like you have an intermittent short to ground.

acc fuse feeds interior lights, power door lock switches, and cigarette lighter. pay close attention to the orange wire that runs to these accessories.

Unhook your cigarette lighter! I bet 100 bucks that its rusty and it is causing your acc fuse to blow. I've heard of this happening on NUMEROUS Thirdgens, so its definately worth checking out on your car.

forgot to mention that the orange wire in the courtesy circuit also feeds the memory backup on the radio.

i would check the wiring into the cd player, maybe it's rubbing somewhere to ground, then check the cigarette lighter, ck the wiring by the console, sometimes when u take the shift plate off with the cigarrette lighter, the orange wire going to the cigarette lighter socket rubs through or gets bent onto the ground tab......
