ALDL Pinout?

Anyone have a link to an '88 VIN F ALDL pinout? (or can just post the pinout here?) I've got the electrical diagnosis manual, which works great up till now, but doesn't include the ALDL.

My plug was cut, so all I've got are 6 or 7 wires sticking out the back, and only 3 or 4 referenced from the ECM.

Thanks!

Dorian

Oh, obviously on your car, you won't have the airbag, antilock brakes, or 8192 serial pins, so basically H through M won't connect to anything. M "might" be spliced to E, though. I know my 89 doesn't have 8192, but I have continuity from M to E for whatever reason.

I appreciate that muchly. Figured it would be in amongst the '85/86 wiring diagrams, but its not. Couldn't even find the pinout on the web. Odd, you'd think this would be one of the more common diagrams.

Thanks again,
Dorian

typed that up from my 86 Helms for Dorian today.

The 165 ECM *is* an 8192 ECM isn't it? How can yours just "not" be 8192? I have no 88 or 89 wiring diags, but have heard the M splice to E thing before so it has merit (yeah I know that's "bench racing" w/out the Helms, but so be it)

Hmmm.

Hmmm.
For anyone following this and still interested, backtracking from the connector the ALDL M and E wires originate from, to ECM, then using the GM diagnostic manual, I was able to find that in '88, authoritatively, the M and E wires are spliced together.

acroding to my Haynes firebird manuel M&E do connect then go to pin#A8 at the ECM.
a 90-92 car the M pin at the ALDL is the only wire going to the ECM(A8).
