My ac won't work now

I disconnected the A/c to my 82 trans am during the winter. I just put the belt back on and now it won't work. I tested the wires that connect to the compressor and they never have any power going to them. The compressor will not engage and I know it all works. Where could my electrical problem be that it will not send power to the compressor. I did not check the relay because I am not sure which one it is.

I had to run a relay to get my fans to work, so I by passed the fan relay, but that couldn't affect the compressor's power right? My vents will not switch either. The air only blows from the defroster vent. I checked the vacuum for the vent switch and it does not work either.

I am an idiot for disconnecting the ac to have that little horsepower gain.

Please help

Its an 82 I think it might be time to upgrade. But if i was you I would check fuses. if no luck there take out the ac switch box where you turn it on in the car. check out that and if no luck there then find a hole fill it with gas and drive that s o b right on in.

Maybe your freon leaked out.. There's a pressure switch that keeps the A/C compressor from turning on during a low pressure situation.

During the winter the A/C compressor turns on whenever you select "defrost". I heard that this was to keep the seals wet (not sure if this is the proper term) so that they wont leak.

No the freon is there. I have upgraded to the new stuff. I ran a hotwire to the compressor and it kicked on and engaged. The air was cold too. Where are the relays that control the compressor??
