check engine light...please help

check engine light...please help

whenever i come to a stop light......after sitting for a minuite or two the check engine light lights up.....whenever the light turns green and i get it up to about 20-25 it goes back off...and it does this while idling for a while sometimes.. anyone know what this is?

go to any Auto Parts store, get a GM code Scanner (82-96) and stick that in your Assembly Line Diagnostic Thingy. It is below the dash (described in booklet that comes with it). It costs like $30 or so, and can be used to Diagnose any check engine light. The alternative is to go to a mechanic and have them use the same tool, and charge u $75 or thereabouts. It is so easy to use and diagnose, that AOL seems much much meaner than that.
