Can someone help me to install manual fan switches?
I'm trying to set up my fans so that I can turn them on at any temperature. My cr is overheating while sitting in traffic and I was wanting to have a switch for each fan so that I could stop this. Could someone please tell me how to do it?
Thanks for the time
Rob

Future mods due in March:
K&Ns
RAM Air

Hoping to get a couple of tenths with that lot

This topic has been discussed in detail in the past few months. I would suggest doing a search (try "fan switch", "fan", etc. in the "electronics" section).
All the information you asked for (and then some!) should be covered in the many posts that have been made.
There is also an excellent article about doing this in the "Technical Article" secton on the home page.

I just converted to an electric fan and I put in a manual switch. The temp sensor for the fan grounds itself when it reaches the temp range it was designed for. When this happens the fan comes on until the engine cools down and the fan turns off when it reaches the low temp. So all you need to do is wire a toggle switch in parallel with the sending unit. Ground one side of the switch and connect the other side to where the sending unit connects. Hope this info helps, good luck.
