No power?!?!?! HELP!?!?!?!
No power?!?!?! HELP!?!?!?!
I put a new starter in this morning, and when I put the car down to test it, I had no power, none. No lights, radio, fans wont turn on, etc, etc. Its like my car has no battery. Does anybody have any idea why or what happened? I suspect a fusible link, but can't seem to locate the one coming off the starter. I also checked the battery, and it is fully charged, and its connected.
Any one have any ideas??

I think I know this one.....Your fusible links, if they're anything like the ones in my car, ARE the wires going to the large terminal on your starter. If you open the tape-wrapping on those wires, you'll see a black plastic block about 10" up on each of those 2 wires-this is the other end of the fusible link. Replacements for these have to be spliced onto the cable, and it is a PITA considering their location.

I found the problem,
On the black cable that hooks up to the main terminal on the starter, I believe there is the ignition wire. I took the starter apart this morning, and that wire was barely hanging on, so I wired a new connection for it and my car started right up. All power was returned, and it runs good. Thanks for the help everyone!!
