electronic speedo interchange with cable driven

I have a 92 Z-28 with a electronic speedo cluster, and I'm looking at buying a 145 speedo from a 90 Iroc with the cable driven speedo cluster. Will these interchange? Can I mount the electronic wiring to the 90 Iroc cluster? Thanks in advance. Rod

The 90 IROC uses an electronic speedo too, so it'll be a direct swap.

The guy selling it told me it was cable driven, in fact he told me all camaros were cable driven. I knew he was wrong about that. But didnt know about the interchange. Thanks for your help. Rod

82-89 Camaros are cable driven. 90+ are electronic.

82-86 Firebirds are cable driven, while 87+ are electronic.

I believe I read some where in the archives
that in mid or towards the end of the 1990
camaro production that they change to the
newer dash thats in the 91-92 camaros.
If the IROC has the newer dash it should be
electronic, But don't quote me.
