Frustrated with alarm system....

I have an avital avistart 6500 (remote starter and alarm, the works). I bought a pager system a while back and tried installing it last week. The darn thing sets off the alarm. I think I must have hooked up a wire wrong but could it also be that maybe the pager is actually setting the alarm off through voltage drop? I wanted to hook up my 2 way mirowave sensor but I can't figure the dual shock sensor out for the life of me. It's all about voltage DROP and the sensor I bought is all about sending a signal, not taking it away. I thought about a relay but then the relay is going to draw power when the car is off. I think I'm at a loss. Anybody have any ideas?

did you share the same power line from alarm with the pager? because if you did i know that the 4 watt pager when it goes off can draw the voltage down and it would trip the alarm. have a dedicated 12v line for your pager.
