My gauge fuse blows whenever i turn on cruise control. So you might want to check those wires as well

Firstly, what did you do to fix your tail lights?

Secondly. When your guage fuse blows do you find that the rear demister wont stay on and whenever the headlights are on the chime comes on as if you have the door open? This happens to me. I'm having an electrician look at the car sometime this week. Let me know if you have any of the symptoms that I have and I'll let you know what happens.

I think i posted this on another thread just like this, I dunno what year your car is, but in my 86 SC i was constantly popping gauge fuses, finally i pulled out the radio (not stock) and retaped all the ends of the wires, seems like one of them was shorting out and popping the gauges. Been at least 2 years now and haven't popped a fuse again.

i had this problem also, but my situation was a bit different. i used to have an LG4 but i replaced it w/ a 350 and no longer used any of the conputer functions. i just grabbed all the wires and shoved them up in the corner by the blower motor. some of them fell and got burnt up on the headers and shorted out (blowing my gauge fuse). had to tape them up and tuck them away again, now its all working fine
