4th gen gauges
Forget about mounting them, I just want to know if the gauges would work with our sending units, or would they need to be changed? If they need to be changed (I am guessing they do), would they be a direct swap from the LT1 or LS1? I am guessing thats not going to happen either, but I might as well ask! My ultimate goal here is to swap a 4th gen Trans Am dash into a 90 IROC. It'll be a while before I do this, I just want to see If I'll need to design a custom gauge panel and put some autometer gauges in there instead of the stock ones. Thanks.

Heck yes! Have you ever seen a 92 TA dash. Without Question the best looking dash ever! I'd say the Vipers layout 2nd. The Avenger/Eclipse/Talon/Sebring dash a not so distant third. We should make a new thread on this "What car has the coolest dash and guages."

The ALL-TIME most awesome dash is out of a 1986 Chevrolet Celebrity...DROOL...ok..ok...i am kidding
I dont think the 4th gen's dash is all that aggressive...not as aggressive or race-oriented/styled as the 3rd gens. Dont get me wrong, they ARE kick-@$$, but the 3rd gen's i think are a bit more aggressive looking. Just my $.69

I just like the look of the Trans Am dash. Looks like a ****pit of an airplane with the round gauges and all. So, does anyone have an answer to the original question? Will the gauges work with existing sensors, or will I have to make a special plate and mount some Autometer gauges in there? Thanks.

Best dash ever is a bunch of gauges mounted on a metal firewall
