Stock Distributor with MSD6 AL??

Help...Ive been reading that in order to use the MSD6AL, you'd have to replace the distributor's bushing because the resistance is too high that it would cause the distributor to melt. It is true, or can I use the stock distributor with no problems. Also, how is the MSD Blaster Coil, stock number MSD-8226. Is it worth replacing the stock with it....thanks.

I have the msd 6al and blaster coil on my 92Z.
I put it on in February and am using the stock distributor, no problems. Dose the blaster coil help, a little bit, it idles smother than it did before I put it on, the stock coil had about 130,000 miles on it.

Thanks for the reply....will give it a try. Do I have to increase the gap in the plugs too?
