check engine light doesn't work

check engine light doesn't work

The "check engine light" does not come on during startup or when jumping the A-B connectors. I cannot access trouble codes. What could be the problem? I going to check the bulb to see if it is burned out.

You need to jump the terminals, then turn the key to run (but dont start the car). It will flash "12" a few times, then start flashing the codes.

That is what I have been doing, but it doesn't flash at all.

Car: 91 Red Sled

Axle/Gears: 10bolt Richmond 3.73 Torsen

Check the bulb. If it turns on when you go to turn on the car then it isn't bulb (duh) so check the back of the aldl. Sometimes the wires have been cut etc.
