ok guys i just swaped from tbi to carb and ripped out the comp and i need to know where the 2 wires that go into the clip ontop of the alternator go, i kow the one wire in the back goes to the positive on the battery. i ask because my battery is not being charged while its running nd i have to make sure my alt witch is new and the old one did the same thing is chargeing the battery. also my fan doesn;t work so i just took the wire right from the fan and put it to the positive on the battery to run it,now do u think this cause drain the battery faster then the alt can charge it or no cause its always been ran from the car? thanks

 

i did the same thing except mine had an efi v-6 before. The answer to the fan question is your going to have to run a switch and relay because its running the batt down because its on all the time where before it was only on when it needed to be. the alt., one is for the voltage reg. (goes to +12) one is for voltmeter(goes to gauge) the trouble is i dont know off hand which one was which off hand. if you cant figure it out give me an email at JWFirebird@cs.com and ill go out and look at mine.

 

well for the fan i figuresd out how to use the stock relay so its comes on buy itself and i ran i switch just incase, and with the alt i discoverd one wire to the battery, one to the starter, and thye other to a 12v key on source but i am not sure wut amp fuse to put in line with this, so right now i just have to hook up my choke and put on my hood then i can go cruisin.
