speedo and odometer not working...Please Help

I converted from TPI to carb. I have an 88 gta with digital dash. My speedo is on but not working and my odometer is completely off. There are three plugs near my tranny. I plugged one in the rear and the other white 4 tube plug on top of the tranny. There is another one towards the front but I dont know if it goes to the trans or not. Any one have any ides. Are there any other sensors or wires. The first time I converted it worked but with this new carb motor it doesnt.

If I remember right, part of that dash is run by the computer so your going to have to invent something to keep your electronic dash.

I'm willing to bet your 4th gear over drive in the tranny isn't working right either, again another computer controled operation.

Would any wires near the fuse box or under the passenger side dash (besides the VSS buffer) cause this? Also, how many plugs go into the tranny? Thanks

Well on my automatic there was one that went into the speed sensor and another that went into the front above the pan on the side and that one operated the overdrive lock up solinoid.

Well there are a lot of wires going back to the passenger side dash where the computer is so who knows, you need some good wire digrams and find out what the input is for that dash speed. What year is your car and you will have to find out if you have electronic sensor for the speedo or cable driven to a sensor.
