question regarding wiring behind stereo
My 92 camaro has a problem with the AC fan. I took the radio out and jiggled some wires around back there and the fan will come on but then if I release pressure from the wires it cuts itself off
Anyone know how easy it is to remove the controls so I can see if it is corrosion or what not on the back side of the connections?

If you have the trim plate off & the radio is already out, then 4 more hex screws will get the HVAC controls out right above. There is just barely enough slack in there to be able to pull the controls out & unplug things to check. It's really not that fragile.

There are 3 7mm bolts that hold it in. The only electrical portion of the HVAC is the fan and the wires for the lights, everyting else is vacuum driven. The switch for the fan comes out easily once the climbate control center is out. Check for wires grounding on each other.
