Foglight/headlight issue on my GTA
I turned the park lights on and noticed that my high-beem indicator was dimly lit. I felt this was a bad sign.
Anyway, my fog lights work with just the parking lamps on. Since my IROC needs the headlights on, I felt this was odd. Anyway, I put the lights on and didn't have any. I flipped the high beem switch, and those worked. But no lows. So, I tried to shut the fogs off. With the fogs off, I get no high or low beams.
I don't remember seeing any cuts or splices in the harness, but I guess it's time to start looking. I love an electrical challenge.

Anybody happen by chance to have this problem?

Hye Jim, this is probably of no help to you but the high beam indicator works off the actual wire running to power the high beams.
I had a very odd problem w/my bird awhile back involving the turn signals & headlights messing each other up & even, strangely enough, caused a running(idling) problem while the lights were on. It turned out that the drivers side headlight had a bad ground causing the entire problem.
Like I said, probably not of much use to your situation, but checking to make sure all the light grounds are in good shape may be a start.

Deadbird, that is a help. A bad ground is the first thing I wanted to check. It's amazing what a bad ground can do. A couple years back I had fog lights and a set of airhorns grounded to the same bolt on my firebird. Well, when I turned on the fog lights, only one would come on. If I pushed the button for the airhorns, they wouldn't work, but the other light would come on.
I cleaned up the ground and they were fine after that.
Anyway, does anybody want to clue me in as to where the headlights ground so that I can be lazy and not trace the wiring?

Mine come in thru the high beam lamp plug opening (if it were a camaro) on both sides and ground (10mm bolted down) right under the top piece of the radiator support.
You can just see the one on the far left running thru in this pic

(I'm sure you realize it's supposed to be a black wire)

Cool.
Hopefully I'll have some time to check it tonight. Thanks for the help.

Did you know....
...that if you plug in your headlights, they work better?
