Underhood light question.
I have a 87 model Z28. The underhood light blows fuses. The little four amp fuse in the line. It seems to do it after the hood is closed a while. Put a new fuse in, light comes on. Kind of lower the hood a little to make light go out, and it will. Then I raise it back up and it turns back on. It blows the fuse after setting with the hood closed for a while. I'm not sure but the light seems to be connect into a spliced wire going to the A/C components on the firewall, the other wire seems to go towards the other side of the car behind the engine. They are both red in color. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.
Is there any wire exposed right at the base of the bulb holder? I was having the same problem, and I had to use some heat shrink and some wire loom to solve the problem.
