Gauge reading high voltage, . . . why?

I have an '83 Z with crossfire injection. I've had some real problems with it. The biggest one is that it idles at 2200 rpm, when it's cold, and it shakes during that period. I've replace the O2 sensor and the TPS, and it still spits out code 22-low voltage to TPS. I just noticed that the voltage on the gauge inside the car was nearly in the orange. It's been high for some time, but not this high. Do you think there is any correlation? Has anyone ever had this problem, and what are the chances it's my ECM? Sorry for the long post, but I desperately need help. thanks,
Tim

Have you checked voltage at the battery w/a voltmeter? It could just be a bad gauge. Alternators are internally regulated, if there is a voltage problem, it will be with the alt., not the ECM. If the alt. really is putting out voltage in the red, it can fry the ECM.

I don't know squat about CFI except the TPS voltage should be .525±.o75v @ 400rmp (minimum air rpm).
