I need to find a power sorce for my radar detector I need 12v when the ignition is swicthed on what wire can I use and what color is it.

why dont you just run a new one. go to a local auto parts store, buy a replacement cigarette lighter, wire it up, one red (power 12v) and one black (ground) and throw a fuse into the power wire.

maybe this would work in my own little world. but i dont see why it wouldnt.

It comes with a connector that taps into a wire than it plugs into that connnector. ijust don't know which wire has 12v. If I did it would take 2 minutes to hook up.
