If you have wires in the rear hatch glass, then there should be a switch to control the defrost. It should be a rocker type switch that runs for about 10 minutes before if shuts off. The switch should be on the dash to the right of the steering wheel. I assume I am right although I have a right hand drive car.

Yeh. It should be there. Maybe the glass was added later to your car. Dont know much about adding a defrost system to your car. Probably need to do a search and find some pics. Sorry. Probably havent helped too much. Need to get ready for work. Hope you have luck.

you can always pull the dash panel off its easy about 8 or so screws, then look and see if the wiring harness is there at all.

one other note the defrost switch is not the same functioning as the foglight switch. the defrost switch is momentary since its got the timer feature.

no it doesnt, im pretty shure that the hatch was changed because there is no wiring for a defroster in th dash but the window has a defroster on it, and the wires dont conect anywhere. thanks for the help

The gas struts should have male p;ins for connecting to wires that lead from the plastic bits just next to the bottom of the struts. If you dont have the wires just inside the plastics then I would say that it wasnt equipped with a defroster. Not impossible to put one in.
