dead (single) ele. cooling fan
my electric cooling fan (1) just stopped working!(90 formula tbi 336- just like the blue one above) i looked at the fuse block--ok! could it possibly be a fan relay-somewhere? how could i test it???what other possibilities are there besides what i have mentioned??? please help guys!!! apprerciate it!!!!! fellow 3rd gen heads!!!! brad:hail:

It's possible that the relay has failed, it happened to me but under, shall we say 'unusual' circumstances.
I would test the fan by itself first. Unplug the fan connector and apply 12 Volts DC from a safe source like a small battery charger or the likes.
In my case a soldered connection inside the relay went open from heat. They are fairly heavy-duty relays, so they should survive many years of use.

thanx rustydawg! i will buy a new one probably from napa tomorrow for 14 dollars....ill let ya know the progress! also im trying to get my hands on a fan switch that turns on @ 200 deg and off @ 185 deg too.,but could i stay with the stock 195 thermo with this combo, is the next issue-isnt it? couldnt be a bum original fan switch -could it?---well ill do the relay FOIST........ watch this space-

Go to autozone and get you a fan switch for a 1991 C-4 Corvette 5.7 liter..autozone part number is #36669 and cost is $16.99 plus tax....comes on at 200* and goes off at 185*... then drop in a 180* stat.... if they dont have it in stock it needs to be ordered....also if you want you can buy you a new electric fan motor also from them....$34.95....just a couple fo bolts to change out....good luck.......
