fan switch on block.....whereabout????
where abouts is the fan switch that goes into the engine block? passenger or drivers side? Is it under the exhaust manifold??
mine is on pass side, right below exhaust ports. Im pretty sure it has a green wire going to it, but it could be different on yours. Just check it, with ignition on, ground it out and see if the fan turns on...
It's on the passenger side head, not the block, and it's between #6 and #8 cylinders.
You might as well buy a new one if you plan on removing it or anything. I'd be willing to put a 20 spot down that you break it if you try. They're so brittle with age and heat it's almost unavoidable.
87 Buick GN fan switch is a good replacement, and I also recommend the JET fan switch.
