here we go again, I have another problem!

It started doing it yesterday. When driving with the seatbelt on, my seatbelt dash light keeps blinking on/off now. Anyone have an idea what it could be? The light doesn't stay on, but it periodicly goes on and off> What the heck. I tell ya, it's always something Thanks in advance to anyone that replies:hail:

Might be the switch under the driver seat or the one hooked to the seatbelt reel.

Thanks, I'll check it out...that's the part that's on the floor correct?

Usually mounted to the under side of the seat (pressure switch) or on the floor (seatbelt switch).

All I could find was a 1 black wire with a connector on it. The wire then goes into that mess of a wire loom. I couldn't find anything under the seat

you might not have the presure switch. Follow the wire back to the seatbelt reel, there should be a switch in it.

hmm, I did follow it to the reel. I unbolted the reel from the floor to get a better look at it underneath. That wire just attaches to it, I really didn't see anything that looked like a switch

Thats the one, you'll need to check it out with an ohm meter. There should also be a timer relay up under the dash that turns off the seatbelt lght and buzzer after a set amount of time, it may be bad also.

What should the reading be? I'm asuming with the key in the on position?

Can't remember which way is which, but fully retracted should be either open (infinity) or closed (0 ohms) and extending the seatbelt should yield the opposite reading from retracted.
