Can you have hatch switch and outside relase?

I have a 88 camaro with a hatch motor, but had no inside relase button. I ordered a button, harness, and silonoid from ebay and recieved it today. I got all the wiring set up and then went to hook up the silinoid. I have seen pics of how to hook it up but because i have the hatch motor it dosent hook up the same. Is there anyway to put both the inside switch and outside lock to work at the same time without haveing to rewire?

This is the silonoid in the first picture, but placed so that the inside button would work. But with that setup you cannot use the lock from the outside.

There should be a cable going out of the black piece that goes to the lock cylinder. If you didnt get that piece, then you might have to graft your old one on to the new one. I'm just not sure if you can do that. I can look tomorrow.

When I bought my car the power trunk didn't work so I replaced it. I bought a switch for the dash that releases it (which I didn't have) and connected it. And it still doesn't work by the switch. It will work with the key. Does anybody know what could be the problem. The light on the switch comes on when I turn on my light so I know there is power going to the switch. I believe the #11 fuse controls the Hatchback lid release. Does anybody have any idea about how to fix this problem. I don't want to half to go to GM.

so all you added was the switch? not a silinoid? when adding the inside access you must add the silinoid and switch. i have the parts to add only the inside switch but not have an outside access. ill sell it to you really cheap but like i said you wont be able to open from key, only the button.
