Painless Wiring Problems
Painless Wiring Problems
Hey guys, I'm rewiring an 83 Bird (originally 4-cyl/auto) with a Painless 18-circuit Harness. I have two problems with it:
First I got to the turn signal plug on the steering column The male plug (the part thats connected to the stalk on the steering clomun) has 2 more wires then the Painless harness has proviosions for. These wires are peach and light green in color and they go into sockets "F" and "E" in the connector. If somebody could tell me what they are for I would really appreciate it (or give a link to a wiring diagram showing that part)
The second problem I need help with is with the ignition switch connectors on the steering column as well. The Painless harness has 6 10-gauge wires going into the ignition switch. However teh car has the same 6 wires coming out plus it also has 2 smaller wires (16 gauge maybe) coming out. They are dark green and brown/white in color.
PS Does anybody know if the yellow wire from the ignition switch goes straight to the neutral safety switch on the shifter or does it have to be routed anywhere else first?
Thanks for the help,
-Max

Come on guys, I know there are some knowledgeable guys out there to help me out. At the very least can anybody give me a link to some good wiring diagrams of the area in question (steering column turn signal and ignition switches)
Thanks,
