Clutch Safety Switch Question(s)

Hey people, i did my 700-R4 ->T-5 swap about 2 weeks ago, and i finally got my clutch safety switch in the mail today. On the automatics, they have a little sliding lever thing with about 7 wires including the purple and yellow ones that you wire for the safety switch. I have 2 questions-

1. do i just cut all the other wires on that black box and run the purple/yellow ones down to the clutch pedal? what do those other wires do?

2. how do i wire the back-up light switch? currently my lights dont come on when i put it in reverse- if i plug the plug into the tranny, where do I run the Blue and green wires to? on my automatic, i had the speedo sensor wires and the torque lockout switch.. where do i run the wires to?? is it possible to rig up a switch that i can turn on when i put it into reverse?

1) Before cutting any wires, check around under the dash near the pedals for a plug that has the same colored wires (purple and yellow); they may already be there ready to plug in. If not, you can cut and splice using wire of the same or heavier size - there's a fair bit of current going to be running through them.
2) The two wires from the plug on the trans (green and blue) can be spliced into the same colored wires from that 'black box' you mentioned

Those, I believe (but not sure), go to the ECM to enable the torque convertor to lock up at speed in O/D.
Mebbe someone else knows what you can/can't do to them...

black is a ground, the other is the park/neutral input to the ecm.
