Relocating my battery
I'm planning to relocate the battery in my Formula and I've hit a little snag. I have SSM subframe connectors that have been notched at the Y pipe of my Edelbrock headers for clearance. I was planning to run the cable attached to the inboard side of the connector but the cable would come in contact with the pipes. Would it be safe to run the cable inside the pass. compartment along the rocker panel? Anyone have any suggestions how to route the power cable?

I have my power running inside the car as well.
I am running 0/2 or 2/0 gauge. It's larger than 0 gauge.

Would an Optima yellow top battery need to be vented? I've heard that they do and that they don't - which is it?

Running the wires inside is not a problem. Not venting the Optima could be a problem. The two little dots on the top of the battery is where it vents. A local stereo shop, or somewhere 0nline should have what you need. I've seen it vented and un-vented before, so... I know I would'nt take a chance, esp. with a long trip or something IMHO.
