I have my battery in the spare tire compartment and I am wondering what size the vent tube should be? the battery I have right now is not a sealed battery. I would just go buy a sealed battery but I am low on $. I would assume just drill a hole in the bottom of this compartment, attach a rubber hose or tube and run it to the top of the battery since that would be where all the gases come from. does this sound right??
