Want to wire fog lights in car that didn't come stock, need help

I already purchased the grill now I just need to decide on which fog lights to purchase. I was wondering if the wiring harness in my 91 Camaro RS is already set up for fog lights or if I'll have to do all the wiring myself?? Also I want to keep it stock looking, is the original fog light switch still available from the dealer??

Many of the major chain part stores will carry a foglight wiring/relay kit to ease wiring foglights and is usually safer than what most people jerry-rig up to save a few $$. Blazer is the one wiring kit I can think of offhand. As for as the switch, you can probably still get it at the dealer, just call a local dealship parts department and ask.

Most auto stores or even walmwart car fog lights with all the wiring and instructions. It's easy to do, just make sure that you do not connect the wire right ontoor behind the battery terminal because it will cause the terminals to corrode quicker. BTW the fog lights are only like 20 bucks

I believe what he is trying to do is purchase the OEM camaro fog light switch wire it up thru the factory wires then use aftermarket fog lights.
Thats what I want to do, I wired the fog light switch to the factory harness behind the console but I think I am missing the relay. This is where I get stuck. Jerrry rigging it is not the way I want to go and I imagine the same goes for grafx.

while i don't have a stock wiring diagram on hand, i would assume that you can wire it up to be the same in function by doing the following:

--tap the parking light power/ground and use these for the relay control

-- put the fog light switch in series with battery power to the fog lights. you might also want to do this with a double-throw relay if you have a single pole switch (don't know how the camaro OEM switch is wired)

basically, the operation principle:
-- when parking lights are on, power is available
-- when power is available and fog switch is on, lights are on

hope this helps. i'm sure someone can post a wiring diagram if this doesn't make any sense to you.

I was always thought that GM had prewired all these cars for such accesories. Oh well.

exactly what I was trying to get at was if my RS which didn't come stock fog lights, was already prewired for the addition of fog lights where all I would have to do is buy the relay, switch, and lights and hook it all in to the harness. But I guess that's not the case
