Does one specific direction cause it to blow ?
If yes, bad wiring (grounding out) between the switch and bulbs somewhere. If no, it could be a bad switch, flasher relay, or wiring somewhere inline between the fuse panel to the signal switch.

i had a similar problem w/ another car, actually a ford crown vic. i was blowing a fuse to my brake lights and blinkers, leaving me w/out brake lights every time i used the blinker. There was a piece of metal busted off of the blinker switch inside the column, and it was shorting the switch when i used the blinker. I'd check the blinker switch.

Check the wires that snake through the front fenders to the marker lights on the front side of the car. Sometimes the fender can rub through the wires. If the fender contacts one of those wires, it will short and blow the fuse.

Re: turn signal fuse keeps blowing

Hello, i recently purchased a 1992 RS camaro Heritage edition, 5.0L Automatic, when i shift into reverse the fuse for the turn signal/back up light blows. i realize the fuse is for both the turn signal and back ups, but if i dont go in reverse the fuse doesn't blow. the turn signal switch is broken, it will stay down but i have to hold it up to turn right. i didnt think it could be that cause like i stated the fuse only blows when i go into reverse. any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Backup Plan

Remove the backup bulbs and check the sockets for debris/exposed wiring.

With the bulbs still out see if the fuse still blows.

If yes, physically trace the
light green wire from the sockets to the reverse switch located on the right side of the shifter.

You will be looking for any area where the
light green wire might be pinched, have insulation rub-thru, etc.

Happy Racing!

Re: turn signal fuse keeps blowing

i just had this issue, my problem was a bad ground connection on one of my fog lights, on a 91 T/A the grounds for the fogs are on the light housing attached to a small tab, after awhile the tab got rusty and it was causing it to ground and short, i cleaned up the tab and soldered the wire to the tab and covered it with some plastic from the melt type but connectors. issue solved. check your connections.
