my car has been going crazy the past 3 days. about a month ago one day after driving i told my dad to take it for a ride to check out the brakes, because they were going out, he couldnt get the car started, something near the ECM just clicked alot when the lights should have been on. i charged the battery and it was fine until a few days ago.
Friday I was driving around and i was parked in a parking lot and it started raining. i started my car and it ran for about 45 seconds then it just quit and i couldnt start it for about 5 minutes and it worked again. I was driving to my friends house and my didgital dash just went out completely for a second. after i left his house, on the way home it was raining very hard. I had the wipers on fast and the AC on and the headlights. My digital dash blinked on and off and flashed crazy random pieces of numbers and lights. My wipers stuck on my windshield and i had no electricity, but i kept in my lane (i guess, i couldnt see the rain was crazy) and it all went back to normal after i tapped the brake once.
I had a left turn to do and my car died when i came up to the red light. I started my car, turned, and kept going home. near the next turn, my dash did the same thing, and the power went out, i pressed the gas and i didnt get any acceleration, just backfiring. Luckily, tapping the brake fixed that. i went about a half mile, then the same thing happened. this time, tapping the brake was pointless, the car died, and i just coasted up a hill and took a right onto my road. My car wouldnt start from there, so I called my dad and he came to get me.
after a couple of minutes and some playing around, the car started and we drove home.
today he took my car to work, it wasnt raining, but the same stuff happened to him.
Sorry its so long, I didnt want to leave anything out because I want to know whats wrong with my car. I have an '84 berlinetta, and thanks if you can help

 

didnt find it till now but i saw another post kinda like this and im gonna replace those circuit breakers. My car doesn't accelerate as fast as usual.. i cant spin out except in 2nd(i cant shift to first gear) I havent driven it since i got new pipes today, the cat was clogged, but i dont think it really mattered because i did have a nice exhaust leak going on...
