IIRC, between the starter and the battery.

had a similar problem

i just had the same problem with my car

except it would not start, i had dash lights and stereo, the starter would work but no spark

i installed a universal link that will easily let me replace the fuse if i blow it

since your starter does not work, it is definetly either the fusable link, or your starter wire leaving from your ignition is fried

it should be a white wire in your steering column, and for the fusable link you should follow the red wire coming from the starter

best of luck

Absolutly the fusable link! My friend and I both own 3rd generation RS's and we installed our open air elements at the same time. The metal from the element shorted out the fusable link. Would you believe that we both blew our links at the same time? Well we did, I can almost guarantee you that that's your problem.

Need more info. Does the car crank with a jump? Have you jumped the starter to see if that works? Does the car start with a remote starter on the solenoid? These are easy things to check as part of the troubleshooting.

It would be a whole lot easier just to check for voltage after the fuse.

finally an answer

well finally i had the time to get my lazy butt under the car and ifound out that one of the grounds that goes into that big wiring harness is broken in half... ummmm i think that might be the problem.... i'm going to get some heaving duty wire and put it back together and then fix it all up..... anybody else agree that this is the problem.......
