Speakers making weird noise

My speakers just started making this wierd noise, its like a popping noise and a constant static in the backround, even if the music isnt playing. I recently canged my battery and my distributer cap and coil so I was wondering if that could be the problem. Please post some input, it sounds like crap.

Do you have the internal coil? If you do, check the wiring on it for looseness or breaks.

buy a

noise filter.
It is applied to the power supply going into the radio. I have used them before with great results. I used to have that problem, but usually on an older car. If your lucky you can find them at Walmart or Autozone. Should be less than $10.

Couldn't that noise be coming from a bad ground too?
I had an issue with noise/static from the speakers due to bad ground.

Just a thought...
