Fuseable Link?

Okay.. I have gotten pretty far on wiring up my dual fans to my 86 IROC... now i'm confused..
where does the fuseable link go that runs off the positive wired battery cable? and the oranger one with a black stripe on it? I hope i'm not asking a stupid question.. but i'm really close to getting it all wired up.. any pictures would help because i suck at wiring things up!
Thanks

Do they have something like a weatherpack connection on them. They are supposed to connect to two wires near the battery. The orange one goes to the coolant fan relay. Not exactly sure about the orange/black one though, but there should be a connector there for it.

I don't know how you are going to wire the fans but the relay socket will have 2 heavy guage and 2 lighter guage wires. Typical is the orange wire ties to the battery thru a fuse link, the red/blk wire goes to the fan motor. The lighter guage wires are the relay coil wires, one goes to ign on in the fuse panel the other one gets grounded either by the ECM or by a switch or whatever you are going to use to turn them on and off. More info helps!

The orange fusable link coming off the batt terminal goes to the memory backup for the ECM. The orange fusable link for the coolant fans is located coming off near the relays on the firewall next to the master cylinder.

Just use the single fan harness. It'll plug into the pass side fan. Then splice in the right side fan into the harness. They'll both come on the same time.

i could but..

my harness is gone.. i have everything off of the 87 already plugged in..
okay.. here is my main question now.

on the 87 camaro with dual fans - is there only one female end that comes from the relay on the firewall near the master cylinder that is a 16ga (i believe) bright orange wire? does it hook into the orange male end that runs from the dual fans?

The positive batter cable has 20 amp fuse on it with a wire that runs off of it that is orang with a black stripe. Does that wire plug into the red-wired female end that is marked "fuseable link"?

is there anything that i'm still missing?

thanks and sorry for all this confusion

ah, ok. I thought you were trying to splice the duals into the single harness. Since you have no single harness, do you have the entire dual harness? Maybe this link will help you out.
