Right now i have a TPI interior harness but i have a throttle body engine so things arnt working right between the harnesses?? If i found a interior harness from just a carberated would that work with the throttle body exterior harness or do the interior and exterior harnesses have to match?

Why did you switch the interior harness? You're not planning on doing a tpi swap are you?, cause if you are, you didn't have to switch the interior harness. You checked out all your fuses right?

He has a lot of diagrams that will show you where the enging harness connects to the Body harness.

A bad fusible link off the starter. It seems that the only things that don't work, are those that operate only when the key is in the 'ON' or 'ACC' position.

Maine , i am just trying to help you out here, so bare with me......You said you put a different motor in the car..... Did you or did you not change the interior harness? I was thinking VATS but if yours is an 86' and you didn't change the interior harness it definitly can't be that.

Maine...you don't have to change a thing, just have to do what the others above have suggested.....check the wires going to the ignition and any wire ignition related for broken wires ...etc..... PITA , but it's about your only option right now.

Well since all your problem seem to be interior related , i'de start there first. And pull the fuse panel down and check the contacts going in. Ikept blowing fuses one time ,couldn't figure it out for the life of me, pulled the fuse panel down and at some point when i was working on my car i must have dropped a metal clip down on it and it was laying on the terminal that was blowing and another one , found the problem that way.
