Alarm Help!!!!!

ok, i just rebuilt my motor in my 91 trans-am, i get it all done i plug in the battery and the alarm starts freaking out, the problem is i dont have the remote to disable it because when i bought the car supposably it was disabled and wouldnt go off... no fuel pressure, no spark, pcm has no power...what could i do... the alarm is still all wired into everything, could i just buy a new one of the same model and unplug swap them... its a viper model 300... i know nothing about alarms and i dont know if thats old or what... what can i do? if i wait long enough will it shut off or will it arm itself again?

if you didn't install it and don't have the remotes i'd pull it. look for the brain under the dash. maybe at least take out the fuse for now.

nope that is about as easy as it gets, from your post, the alarm is wired to disable the power to the ecm etc, and in most cases, a new remote for it wont work since each one is a diff code

beyond cutting wires they won't turn off...maybe the siren but if they were plugged into an anti starting/ecm system then you'll have issues without pulling the brain. more complicated systems really make problems by changing parameters in the ecm.

with a lower number like that the easiest solution since you don't have remotes is to just pull it. i'm sure someone can help you with it, otherwise just ask as it isn't hard to do.

it's the easiest way, the hard part is asking how to save it....

very true, it isn't that difficult. most often times it just requires disconnecting the battery. however with some viper alarms they need a control box that's separate for programming, that or you need to know where the brain is so that you can pull a few wires to make it send the right signals.

go to their website and download the instructions. it may have a section on programming remotes. i know you can pick up basic remotes for very cheap through circuit city if you have one near you. if you decide to go that route and run into issues finding a remote i have one laying around you can have for a couple bucks.
