stock replacement distributor

we are reinstalling the wiring harness in the trans am. i have an accel distributor, i'm pretty sure it's jegs part #110-59107C. it does not have the same connectors as the original stock distributor, so the wiring harness does not plug into it. does anyone know where i can get a stock replacement distributor that with plug into the stock wiring harness?

I don't believe there is one for the ccq-jet cars (H engine code) and you can't get a new one from GM anymore either.

I do believe you should be able to use any lg4 distributor. IIRC they have like a 6 or 7 pin ign module in them (slept a little since I had my 84). If I'm not mistaken, the 85 TPI was the only year to use the same dist. Anything 86+ (f-body) went to the divorced coil. I do remember my parents 86 Caprice having the roller block lg4 with the cap-in coil and now that I think about it, the lg4 was still available up to 87 in the f-body. Not certain if they still used the cap-in-coil though. Don't take that as gospel though...

Originally posted by Diabolical we are reinstalling the wiring harness in the trans am. i have an accel distributor, i'm pretty sure it's jegs part #110-59107C. it does not have the same connectors as the original stock distributor, so the wiring harness does not plug into it.
Then it's not #110-59107C because that would be a direct bolt-in for an 85 without ECM.

does anyone know where i can get a stock replacement distributor that with plug into the stock wiring harness?
Without ECM in your car - any 75-up SBC or BBC with vaccuum & mechanical advance. That's 75-80 cars. 75-79 California cars. And some 80's trucks.

LG4 = L69 dist. yes. Absolutely the same. 87 received the small cap HEI, so 87 LG4 does not equal 86 LG4. My 86 L69 car had a diff. dist. than my 87 L69 car. Got it?

85-86 LB9 F-body and and 85-91 Vette L98 distributors will work for you. They just have a unique cap which is big-cap HEI style, but with 4 screw hold downs (similar to the 2 screw hold downs in 87-up small cap HEI distributors.

If it's the right year. And... 7.
