Anything under 200 bucks PLEASE.
Autoxray 3000 is like 250 bucks shipped. If I could get down into the 150 range or so, that would be nice. Im about out of money and 2 vehicles with electrical problems.

You can buy an aldl cable for obd1 cars and hook it up to a laptop and find the same information as a $200 scanner.

Thanks for the help.
The reason I didnt want to go with a laptop was because I tried about 2 years ago. I bought one off ebay, and the dude shipped it to me broken. SCreen was totally jacked. He kept the money, claimed the insurance from Fedex (basically DOUBLING his pockets) and then wouldnt send me a dime.

I paid about 200 bucks for this laptop. He got my 200, and then another 200 from FEd Ex. I told paypal. About a year later, they decided to give me back 50 bucks. So I was out 150 bucks. For that money I could have just gotten a handheld.

Sorry, you're the one full of fecal matter. I have purchased several laptops from E bay for $50 and less, COMPLETE!

Of course you have to know what to look for, and I do.

several of those are not complete.
They are also not finished. Do a completed search and find most of them are well beyond 50.
And datamaster requires at least 90mhz.

All of those are 100 mhz and above. And Craig's software will run on a 486 easily.
You have to know how to bid to get them cheaply.
The ones that don't include a "power adaptor" use a straight power cord that costs $2 at radio shack.

It helps to know what exactly you are bidding on and knowing how much it is going to cost to make it "complete" when it is missing minor parts.

But don't take my word for it, after all I buy them on there all the time for $50 or less and sell them for $150+ in my local area. So, the more people that believe you can't get them cheaply...the better it is for me.
