fusible link protects coolant fans AND???
There are 3 fusible links down by the starter in my '91 z28. ONE of these fusible links protects the coolant fans, correct? That same fusible link that protects the fans most likely protects more items than just the two fans, but I don't know what other items...anybody know? If the "other" items have power then I can surely rule out the fusible links as a problem, right?

Hello BlueByu,
You should have three fusible links down at the starter solenoid. One single one and two running into a single terminal lug. There is also a fusible link located near the battery and comes off the battery positive cable. This is the fuse that goes to pin "E" of both your coolant fan relays, it is an orange colored wire. The other fusible links go to the ignition switch, alternator, fog lamp relay, fuse block, light switch. The one for the coolant fan relays also handles the fuel pump relay, fuel pump/oil pressure switch, and the ECM through a 20 AMP in-line fuse.
