ignition module!!!!
Hi people.it seems to me that a lot of us have problems with
the ignition modules.
My camaro suddently stop few days ago,
after troubleshooting i am sure that the problem is the IM.
is there any way i can test the module myself with a multimeter.????.What causes the modules to fail(exept not to put on dieletric silicone grease)??
Is the ac/delco module best?
anybody knows?

The HEI Modules are notorious for takin a dump. Also an 84 IROC with a 350 TPI?Cool kinda like mine never built but fun to drive.Actually now that I think about it I have no idea when the 350 TPI went in Camaros but I think 87 was first year in Pontiacs.Anyway I think they can be tested,or better yet just pull one from a running car and try it.Then you know for sure. Also if it is bad consider replacing it with an upgraded module like the MSD piece. It makes for better coil rise and supports higher RPM.Depending on the level of mods on yer car it might not be a bad idea. You have to consider that if the module has never been replaced in your car it's 20 years old, which is why they are dropping like flies.A cheap piece that's easy to replace. In fact get a new cap, coil and rotor, wires and plugs while yer at it,I'm sure yer car would appreciate it.
