Well, I bought this:

and had those cheap H4 adaptors from ebay... you know, the ones with the blue bulbs that are really dim? lol

Anyway, I bought Sylvania Cool Blue lights. They are great! A little brighter than stock, and not yellow-ey.

Problem is, they used to work fine both high and low beam, but now high beam just is the two middle lights. On low, the outer work fine. I think a solenoid blew on the harness... but I'm no good at this stuff.


Anyway, my question is, does this harness change the wiring? I have read that it is for the H4 style bulbs, which I thought were a different pinout! So, can the Sylvania's be brighter if I rewired it? Is that why the solenoid blew?

I was having the same problem with my car, but i had converted my headlights to the H4 style and both the high and the low lights would be very dim.

 

Yah, same here, that's why I went back to sealed beam. Unless you get the actual blue headlights, everything else is going to be dim.

 

what you can do to make that kit work is to change the pin location aroun, so that it can match with the sealed beam patern. That's what i had to do get my H4 to shine like they should.

 

That's the harness I use on my TA and everything works as it should.

Did you make any modifications for it to work on the Camaro setup? AFAIK there is one or two to be made, I don't know offhand what they are.

 

So the harness works fine with your stock bulbs? Now I'm lost!

 

I have a TA, two bulb setup. When I said that I was referring to 1quik who said his were dim. Even with the stock bulbs they were at least as bright as the stock harness, if not brighter.

 

That is true but I'm not using the Harness my was stock, and when i changed over to the H4 setup my ligths got dim because the ground the the power were not where the're suppose to be. All I did was change the wires around to fit my needs, and yes, right now they're brigther than stock.
