What does the plug near the AC condenser do?

Im not sure if that is the correct name (AC condenser), the silver catch can on the passenger side has a round plug that goes into the hardline, what exactly is this for?

If it is the item circled in red, that is the low pressure cycling switch and it is connected to the accumulator.

Ok,
Let's try this picture then, it a picture of the accumulator with the low pressure cycling switch in the rear to the left. A big hard line going into it from the front, and to the right of that hard line where the "X" and arrow is located is the low side servicing port which is a schraeder valve. At least that is what it should be on cars that are stock and have not been modified. If that isn't it, I can't tell you. There is also a small switch that is connected onto a schraeder valve on the hard line for the A/C high pressure side. On my car this switch is located on the line as it runs along the chassis beneath the overflow tank.

Damn, I don't have that plug, looks like I got to make a run to the junkyard. I thought the fan switch was located near the heater core and all that was needed is to wire the AC clutch.
