Dash, Dome Light issues..

Ok, when i bought my 91 Z, the dome light, and the dashboard lights did not turn on(speedo, tach, guages) but the shiftlight did, as did the security light. I figured out that a fuse had jacked the dome light, so i replaced that, and with a bulb (I had like 4 of the dome light bulbs loose in the console when i got the car), and it worked. (Dashlight still dont work)Fast forward two weeks... I turn the cigarette lighter, spin it around, and the dome light goes out. check the fuse, fuse is fine, check the bulb, bulb is fine, replace bulb anyway with another one that came with the car, still doesnt work. So now i have 4 bulbs that are supposed to go into the dome light, and guage lights that do not work either.

Now to my questions.

1)How can I get my dashlights to turn on?

2)Are the loose bulbs in my console also used for the dashboard, as well as the dome light?

3) if yes so for (2), how do I go about replacing these bulbs?

The dash lights are a #194 or a #161, they are interchangable with #194's being brighter. Have you pulled the cigarette lighter and checked the wiring on it as it is on the same circuit as the dome light and the courtesy lights by your feet. They are on the "ACC" fuse circuit. Your guage lights are on the "INST LMP" fuse . If the shift light came on then you need to see about replacing some bulbs or checking the PCB tape behind the instrument panel. You also might want to check the wiring going to the instrument panel connector.

No, the camaros didn't have the remote dimmer function (transistor) like the firebirds did.
