Did you clean, lube, and put the rods back in correctly. Also make sure that you have a good charge on the battery. It may have gotten weak if you had the door open with the battery still connected while you worked.

How about the relay under the left kick panel. I don't what year yours is but some of them grounded the relay to the car frame.

To Trickster:

Do you have a wiring diagram for a 1989 Camaro V6 car with power door locks. The people I got the car from said they unhooked them because they would lock and unlock by themselves with the ignition on and off and during the night it would drain the battery. I have no idea how they did it, but i would like for them to work again. Thanks

-Buck

Hello Buck,

I have the schematic that you are asking about, unfortunately I am recovering from a harddrive crash and don't have it readily available at the moment. However it has been posted on the board and you will find it if you do a search for power locks.

i had the same prob with lock and unlock only when it rain and snow the way they prob disconected was at the relay wich is located at the driver kick panal under a black stickey pad, it is grounded to the car metal (if it is not grounded it will not work) they may have disconected it there or unpluged it there.
