87 Bose radio question....HELP
HI,,
I'm TRYING to re-install a Bose radio in my IROC....The original radio was gone when I bought the car
I bought a HU ,on E-Bay....supposedly it works
My first question is..
What is that black wire on the left side for?
Also, the speaker wires are cut off, what /where do I attach the bare wire that is run with the wires?
Any help would be much appreciated

to work properly, the bose system requires external amps that go in the kick panels.
it'll still play, but be very quiet without them. You should also have bose speakers, because iirc they use a different ohm rating that this head unit is designed to see.

The complete Bose system is still intact in the car...it was just missing the head unit and a couple plugs were cut off the ends of the harness
I dont see a plug that looks like it goes on that black wire
Thats why I'm asking what its for
Thanks
