Bright shiny new head lights.
Got my new H4 headlights this passed friday and got them in. I can't belive how dim and yellow the stock lights are in comparison! But they put a little drain on the battery.. High beams on and car at idle, sucking down 27.6 amps! lol Will have some pics of my boot-leg install and the lights later.

Nice, too bad the cops would be all over me if I had those. My brother just got a $300 "Impersonating a Police Officer" ticket for hyper WHITE bulbs.

i don't think they could do that with these, the light they put out is just like the new mercedes and bmw. not any funny colors, just a nice bright white light

Those AUTOPA H4 conversions you have are not DOT approved and technically not street legal. The expensive Hella conversions are DOT legal, IIRC.
I have those conversions on my highbeams, they work well, esp. with the powerful H4 bulbs and direct 10 guage wiring to the battery.
If all your lenses and bulbs are DOT stamped equipment, then you are fine as far as tickets go.
RAGE13: Where did you find those solenoids? Brand? I used 4 bosch relays (one for each light). Those look impressive.
Also mine came with 1/4" holes in the reflector part for 8 watt "city lights" I don't see holes in yours

there are no holes for city lights, but i wouldn't have used them anyway.
the solenoids are made by Cole-Hersee (p/n: 24059), they are Continuous Duty 12v 85amp solenoids. just got back from a 4 hour drive last night, brights on most of the way with no problems. for the money this was one of the best upgrades to my car so far.

the 4 housings and bulbs i got from eurolamps.com (link is 2 posts up) for $110. i picked up both solenoids for $35 with our shop discount (list is $34.60 each), and the wire and wire ends my boss just let me have for free

yes it would have, but we had these on the shelf at the shop so i used them. also i have no fuses for the head lights at this time, so i went a little over kill on the wiring.

Can I aks what this all cost? I upgraded the halogens on the front the car (inside the bumper) but have hesitated doing anything with the headlamps.
What about the Sylvania Silverstars? Too so-so?

ive got sylvania silverstars and they do produce a nice color light that isnt old yellow and faded and are decently bright but not anything to write home about. i do like them a lot though
