large electrical problem

everything worked perfect on my car on saturday, then i pulled into autozone. turned my car off, went inside... when i went back out to my car, i started it and attempted to turn on my headlights (which worked before i pulled into autozone), they didn't come on. now..my headlights, dome light, horn, powerlocks, power rearview mirror adjuster, gauge lights, and cigarette lighter do not work. anyone have any ideas?

I know this is a stupid question, but have you checked all your fuses?

There is a fusible link at the starter solenoid that is one of the two connected to the single large terminal lug. This fusible link controls power to the fuses that control the items that you mentioned and also goes to the light switch. BTW, your first mistake was parking at AutoZone and going inside leaving the car by itself in the parking lot. It got lonely.

hey can a fusable link break anywhere along the wire? or is it mostly at the beginning/end? am i gonna have to follow it through the whole wire harness?

disregard that, im guessing the fusable link is the short piece of wire that connects to the main wire in that plastic connector lookin thing. all the wires look fine, there doesn't appear to be any breaks....so now im lost
