high beam indicator problem

high beam indicator problem
i recently converted to H4's and i put in a plug n play universal wiring harness for the upgrades as well. but ive realized that now when just my lowbeams are on, my high beam indicator in the dash is on, but when i turn ON my highbeams, the light goes off. what wires should i check for that would have caused this? should i swap my connectors on the bulbs around?
