fuse propblem

Car: 1989 firebird
Engine: 2.8L V6
Transmission: auto
fuse propblem

the head unit i have always blows the fuse to my tailights and gauges, i tried the head unit in a different car and the same thing, is there anything i can do to stop this other than get a different head unit?

Axle/Gears: FACTORY
if its happening with the same unit in different cars then its either defective or being hooked up in correctly.... check your power connections, get a switched 12v from somewhere, tap into the fuse box for a constant 12v and get a good ground ( metal or frame, etc ) dont tap into the ground of another component... i would rule out a short becuase u tried diferent rides....
